Trading Standards IP Open Days

04 March 2022

After successful February training for Border Force, it was time for our partners in Trading Standards to welcome another round of ACG IP Open Day’s. The Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG) ran another three sessions with its members.

Trading Standard Officers from across the country enjoyed a 3-hour online session where ACG members presented to them.

A new year means new information and change for more knowledge building. At each event, different ACG brand members provided product updates and shared new information to help officers on ‘how to spot a fake’ product.

30 ACG member brands which included, TWE Wines, UL, LVMH, Bath and Body Works and Hermes, presented directly to Enforcement Officers from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to train them on the issues of counterfeiting and how best to identify fake products.

ACG have plans to continue online training and events, for their members and enforcement even with COVID and the Pandemic becoming a thing of the past.

The ACG looks forward to seeing the officers who have been loyal to their online events at some of their physical events coming in 2022.

To keep up to date on events, keep an eye on the ACG’s social media pages and event section on the website.
