Border Force IP Open Days

18 February 2022

Virtual events are still happening at the Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG). It allows ACG members to reach more officers than they usually would at a physical event.

This week the ACG ran 3 IP Open Day’s for Border Force Officers across the country. Officers from the UK and Ireland joined a 3 hour online session where ACG members presented to them.

At each event, different ACG brand members provided product updates and shared information to help officers prevent counterfeit goods from entering the country and reaching consumers.

29 ACG member brands presented directly to Enforcement Officers, to train them on the issues of counterfeiting and how best to identify fake products. ACG brad members who presented included PMI, Moncler, TWE Wines, JUUL Labs, Apple and Pandora.

This is the first training session for 2022 and the ACG would like to continue the online version of these events due to the great successes associated with them.

The ACG also are willing to start IP Open Day’s physically at Border Force locations and are in the process of talking to different locations to put some date in the diary for the future.
