ACG present at CTPA International seminar

Phil Lewis, Director General of the Anti-Counterfetiing Group (ACG) presented at an International Seminar for the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Perfume Association (CTPA) yesterday.

He spoke about the value, scope and scale of the global trade in fake goods and its impact on the economy, jobs and the consumer.

Not only are counterfeit cosmetics i.e. makeup, perfume, shampoo, body lotion etc. likely to be unsafe/dangerous, there are clear links to organised crime. Profits are channeled into trafficking drugs or people, money laundering, corruption.
