Today ACG members got a chance to meet with Wish’s Brand Protection Team for a roundtable discussion about how our members can protect themselves and their IP rights. Wish is an e-commerce platform where businesses and manufacturers can sell their goods directly to consumers.
Wish.com was founded in 2010 and has over 110 million active monthly users and over 150 thousand sellers on their e-commerce selling site thatuses customer and product data to customise and personalise each user’s feed.
The members that joined in on the discussion with Wish got an insight into the Brand Partner Programme that Wish implements along with a demo on how to use the Brand Partner portal. The Wish Brand Protection Programme helps to protect brands against misuse and keeps Wish counterfeit free.
Wish has a strict policy against the listing or sale of products that infringe on intellectual property rights
This roundtable gave members the opportunity to raise questions or challenges through ACG, who then shared them with the Wish team ahead of the roundtable. All the brands’ queries were provided with a transparent and thorough response.
This event is the eight in a series of Protecting Brands Online Roundtables offered free of charge to our members. The next one will be held with Tokopedia on 22 September. The ACG look forward to continuing to grow its relationship with online selling platforms.
ACG represents more than 3,000 brands affected by this influx of fakes into the UK and delivers an international network of information, advice and contacts on all aspects of IP protection. Working with Government and law enforcement agencies since 1980, ACG is focused on providing an effective and sustained response to counterfeiting.
Membership with the ACG is the best way to work with government and enforcement bodies to protect your brand. Our Roadshows and training days help you reach out to police, trading standards and border force officers and tell them about your genuine products.
